Backyard Bees have teamed up with Subsea7, setting up a bee hive on their site in Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow!
Subsea7 is a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry. They make offshore energy transition possible through the continuous evolution of lower-carbon oil and gas and by enabling the growth of renewables and emerging energy.
Subsea7 employs around 15,000 people (half as many bodies as there are in a bee hive!) and operates in over 30 countries.
Alongside the bee hive, we will be providing training workshops and we plan to get involved in their local community too!

Making a difference in Old Kilpatrick
Through our partnership, Subsea7 actively contributes to the well-being of the Old Kilpatrick community. Their efforts go beyond financial support, encompassing engagement in local initiatives and raising awareness about the importance of pollinators. This collaboration fosters a healthier environment for everyone.
They have named their hive the 'Sub-bee Heaven' hive, around which many of the staff at the company will be receiving educational workshops and get practical insights into the workings of the hive.
Set within the Kilpatrick hills, the location of this hive certainly is heavenly!
